WHEN SHOULD THE STUDENT ARRIVE IN THE USA AND WHEN SHOULD THE STUDENT RETURN FROM THE USA?
The dates change every year, but the student should arrive in Utah one day before the start of the program. The day of return to Chile is indicated in the program that George will send you via email.
IS IT NECESSARY FOR THE STUDENT TO CARRY MEDICAL INSURANCE?
Yes, parents must purchase travel insurance (medical insurance) in case the student needs medical attention. Travel insurance is usually sold by the company that sold the airline ticket.
What are the COVID vaccination requirements to enter the USA?
The entry of Chileans to the USA is open, as long as they are vaccinated (2 vaccinations) against COVID-19. COVID PCR test is not required to enter the USA. COVID vaccines accepted in the USA are: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and BionTech.
What is the procedure in case of a medical emergency?
George and his wife take the student to the clinic.
Should they all travel together on the same flight?
Yes, this will make the trip more fun for the boys/girls and the logistics will be easier. The flight should be one stop only to avoid athlete fatigue.
Is it convenient for children to carry a credit card?
They should bring about $300-$500 in cash to buy extra things and a credit card, if they deem it necessary, to make larger purchases such as sportswear, anklets, sneakers, and other expenses.
Where are the training sessions and/or matches held?
Training and matches are held at different gyms: Karl Malone Center in Lehi City (15 minutes), Norton Performance (20 minutes) and W-Sports Academy (40 minutes).
WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY ARE INJURED DURING THEIR STAY AND CANNOT CONTINUE?
The student will continue in Utah with the group until the end of the program, except for trainings.
Who works supporting George and in training?
My wife, George and the coaches help with program logistics..
Will my sons/daughters learn English during their time training in Utah?
Yes, the program is mandatory in English for everyone, regardless of the student’s level.
WHAT HAPPENS IF DUE TO FORCE MAJEURE THE PLAYER MUST RETURN EARLY?
Parents are responsible for the cost of changing airline tickets and there are no refunds.
Are there any defined sanctions for behavioral problems that may arise?
Any type of insubordination, inappropriate language, or violation of program rules will not be accepted. The sanction ranges from the suspension of training and games to returning the student to his/her country of origin, and the airplane expenses are assumed by his/her parents or guardians.
Has it ever happened that the child had to be returned for misbehavior?
Not so far, but it could happen.
What if the player has allergies or medical conditions that require special care?
The program is not equipped for health conditions requiring advanced medical care such as diabetes, allergy attacks, acute depression, or pre-existing injuries brought by the student.
